Fun with Apples

Fall is in the air (finally!) so for the next few weeks we will be covering Autumn & Harvest themes. Apples are first on the list, it was a smaller theme but B loved seeing & eating all the apples in the house.

Learning the parts of an apple.

Gluing apples to the letter 'A'

Matching the letters to spell - Apple

Apples in size order

Sequencing order

Matching upper & lower case letters

Count & Clip apples - this was a little advanced for B, but he tried it. He was able to count the apples, but doesn't quiet recognize all the number values yet.

Printable can be found here.

Making tissue paper apples

Using the lower case letter 'a' to make an apple. I've seen this before, but they used foam cut outs...I didn't have any foam, but I do have a computer. ;)

Of course, there was also apple print making...which lasted for five minutes. He was a little disappointed that we couldn't eat the apple after we dipped it in the paint. We have extras though & will be attempting to make applesauce.
